Course Summary

Most behavior analysts work with people with atypical development. Developmental milestones describe things that about 75% of children do by a certain age, however many of our clients do not meet these milestones in one or more areas. Our ethics code suggests that behavior analysts should provide effective services that consider the individual’s context and their needs and is respectful of their individuality and diversity. So, how do you ensure that your programming goals align with chronological age, developmental stages and the individual context of your client?

This workshop will discuss domains of child development, variables that affect these domains e suggest possible goals for each domain.

Learning objectives:
1. Participants will be able to identify different developmental stages.
2. Participants will be able to identify variables that affect the developmental process.
3. Participants will be able to recognize goals that are aligned with the client’s age, development and individual context.

You will earn 1.5 CEUs for BACB or QABA.
